We only had dinner at the Red Lion so cannot make a comment on the rooms, but there was plenty of car parking space. Our meal was absolutely delicious and the service was very good. We had gluten free and vegan meals as well as fish and meat dishes (there were 4 of us with different diets). I would definitely go back again
Dog friendly pub with a few excellent bedrooms thrown in. Attention to detail and a delight to be listened to by the staff who are then proactive to react to any comments. Food portions looked rather small, however we were full after eating our meals. Overall a very welcoming venue and brilliantly managed even down to how they react to the many dogs that guests bring in. Well done to all the staff
Thank you so much for a lovely couple of nights. The room was lovely and all staff were very welcoming and professional, and Bella the dog was especially welcoming to my dog. It’s wonderful to find a place so dog friendly. The food was immaculate and I will book here again should I come back to the area. I would absolutely recommend The Red Lion to anyone visiting this part of the Cotswolds.
First time eating here and we were really impressed. All four of us commented on how delicious our meals were, the service was friendly and efficient and the interior of the pub is really warm and welcoming. Plenty of parking. This will definitely become a new favourite!
Went mid week, with friends to celebrate a birthday. Menu had a good selection and catered well for coeliacs.
Thank you Lisa and team for the wonderful time at the Red Lion Inn! We enjoyed a weekend getaway from busy London to the beautiful Cotswold countryside. The Red Lion did not disappoint. Very kid friendly (3 year old and 8 month old) we enjoyed the nature and amazing breakfast. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable - just what we needed after a day of adventuring. We will be back!
Fabulous and comfortable overnight stay Comfy beds with amazing pillows. Staff are fab and ensured we had what we needed. Special mention to Carl / Betty and looking after flowers. Eaten here many times but first stay. Highly recommend.
One of the best vegan roasts in the Cotswolds! Visited for lunch with family and had a fantastic time - everything was faultless. Friendly staff, great drinks, brilliant menu with plenty of vegan options, lovely cosy interior. The vegan roast was excellent - everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. All other party members raved about their choices - from fish and chips to roast beef. Highly recommended!
Best steak pie we have ever had. Also we turned up with no reservation on a Sunday afternoon and despite being busy they managed to find us a spot. Highly recommend.
We have been having wonderful meals at The Red Lion for a number of years when we visit the area. A dog friendly pub (often a good sign) set in a convenient location with plenty of parking. The food is exceptional, genuinely the best we have had in the Cotswolds. I cannot adequately recommend it highly enough. The atmosphere is welcoming and cosy. A great team who are friendly and attentive. It is worth the long drive to have a meal at this beautiful pub.
